Overview

Course Description 
 
Lymphedema and diseases of the lymphatic system impact millions of people in the United States and hundreds of millions worldwide. Affected patients most often suffer from debilitating swelling and pain. If left untreated, the patient can suffer from chronic infections, loss of a limb, debilitating pain, psychological stress, social isolation, and loss of function and quality of life. 
 
This course will provide an overview of the lymphatic system and lymphedema, introduce the concept of manual lymphatic drainage (including demonstration), and provide the clinician with an understanding of how it is to be applied to a comprehensive program for lymphedema management. 
 
Certificates will be only given to those who successfully pass the Quiz with 7 /10 or more score in their first attempt.
